Accountancy Europe – Digital Day Special Edition newsletter

Technology and digitalisation are transforming the role that accountants play. We created a special edition of our newsletter to feature the result of our Digital Day campaign. The newsletter was meant to aggregate the wide variety of content that we had developed on this topic. We used the newsletter to feature rich content to our readers with the objective of showing how accountants can offer 360° financial support, making technology work for people. The results were further communicated to the wider stakeholder and policy-making communities, establishing our presence as digital leaders in FinTech

The newsletter

We have a monthly digital newsletter with a circulation of 6,000 readers. The special edition of the newsletter featured;
• An interactive event recap (based on Storify)
• A cartoon series recapping the event
• Interviews with the speakers
• Blog posts on the topics covered in the event
• Articles on the breakout sessions that not all attendees could attend
• Videos of the main speakers 
• The presentations


Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) – Capital Markets Union: Measuring progress and planning for success

In September this year we published ‘Capital Markets Union: Measuring progress and planning for success’, an innovative research report which tracks the progress of the European Commission’s flagship Capital Markets Union (CMU) initiative, using seven key performance indicators (KPIs). Released on the third anniversary of the launch of the CMU Action Plan, and with the end of the current European Commission’s legislative cycle fast approaching (in October 2019), the report provides a timely opportunity to review CMU developments to date. 

The publication was supported by a further nine leading European trade associations, representing a range of capital markets stakeholders. Making it a truly cross-industry initiative.


American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) – The Transatlantic Economy 2018, Annual Survey of Jobs, Trade and Investment between the United States and Europe

The American Chamber of Commerce to the EU (AmCham EU) speaks for US business committed to and invested in Europe. It comprises about 150 member companies, including the world’s largest and most prestigious corporations across all industry sectors. With a secretariat of 29 professionals, AmCham EU operates 15 sectoral committees, four task forces covering horizontal issues, and an Executive Council comprised of company CEOs.

The transatlantic economy is responsible for €5.2 trillion total commercial sales, and employs 15 million workers on both sides of the Atlantic. The goal of the Transatlantic Economy 2018 survey is to give stakeholders the needed tools, information and background on the enduring transatlantic economic relationship.

The Transatlantic Economy 2018 survey offers the most up-to-date set of facts and figures describing the deep economic integration binding Europe and the United States. No two other regions in the world are as integrated as EU and the United States. The Transatlantic Economy 2018 survey documents European-sourced jobs, trade and investment in each of the 50 US states and US – sourced jobs, trade and investment in each Member State of the European Union and other European countries.


Association of European Producers fo Steel for Packaging (APEAL) – Publication: Good Practices in Separate Collection, Sorting and Recycling of Steel for Packaging

APEAL – the Association of European Producers of steel for packaging – is a federation of the four major producers of steel for packaging. Founded in 1986 the organisation represents 95% of the total European production of steel for packaging, which includes the production of up to 4.8 million tonnes of steel for packaging per year, enough to make 42 billion steel cans.

APEAL believes that the best path to achieving this goal is a unified approach to recycling processes. To realise this, APEAL decided to produce a document that would act as a constructive tool for policymakers, showcasing and sharing best practice from across the EU, which would inform the decisions and action required to achieve a circular economy.

APEAL’s 2018 report: ‘Good Practices in Separate Collection, Sorting and Recycling of Steel for Packaging’, which was compiled using examples of best practice from countries across the EU and showcases the varied projects, systems and processes by which steel packaging is recycled.


Spanish Society of Periodontology (SEPA Foundation) – SEPA Magazine

SEPA Magazine THE DEVELOPMENT OF PERIODONTOLOGY and the promotion of periodontal health are the pillars of the Spanish Society of Periodontology and Osteointegration and the SEPA Foundation of Periodontology and Dental Implants.

After years of progress with Periodoncia Clinica and the positive experience of patient-outreach work with Cuida tus Encias, we wanted to transform the historical bulletin SEPA Noticias (SEPA News) into a more dynamic, attractive, and informative publication which, at the same time, serves as a basis for bringing periodontology closer to general dentists and young professionals who join professional life and who want to feel that they are participants in this vertiginous world. Scientific production is frenetic, and it takes a considerable effort to know and judge the latest developments. The impact of technology is undeniable. This new Sepa Magazine will be combined with a solid and gradual drive of SEPA’s web environments and social-media channels that provide users with permanent and on-demand access to material of interest, in a manner consistent with the line of work: “Periodontology for everyone”.


Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies – Martens Centre Newsletter/Martens Centre on the Go Newsletter

The Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies currently sends out two online newsletters – one for its Brussels-based activities called and one dedicated to our activities with member foundations called ‘On the Go’ which showcases our projects across Europe. Both are disseminated on a monthly basis. Our newsletters are aimed at informing interested parties on what has been happening in the past month and what they can expect from us in the upcoming month. It is a dynamic mix of past and future publications, articles, events and podcasts intending to fully inform not only our subscribers, but also our member foundations about ours and each other’s activities. The ‘On the Go’ newsletter has been particularly innovative in providing information not only to our network, but also about it. Its informative nature focuses on providing our readership with enough information about our outside activities throughout Europe in a concise manner, same as the one dedicated to the activities of our Secretariat does for the Brussels ones.The two newsletters are a part of one simple strategy – to communicate effectively to our membership and beyond what are we/or what have we been up to in a month to come/which just passed.
