Best Association Conference
European Fruit Juice Association (AIJN) – Juice Summit
The Juice Summit is the leading, annual international conference for the fruit juice industry. It started in 2013 and attracts senior executives and company owners from all segments of the industry i.e. fruit (and vegetable) processors, juice bottlers, traders, transporters, and equipment suppliers. The approach we took proved to be a great success in terms of numbers, as the attendees increase every year: from 275 in 2013, to 550 in 2018. We have attendees from all around the world, and this year we had more than 50 countries represented.
The Juice Summit is a two-day conference which takes place in October. The conference dates are set to the week before the largest international trade fairs for the food and beverage industry, which are ANUGA and SIAL.
With regards to the programme, it was decided to optimise the networking opportunities for the participants, in addition to offering topical presentations.. This was translated into the organisation of 3 evening programme i.e. the Welcome Evening, the Gala Dinner and the Networking Evening. In order to keep the programme as dynamic as possible, we amend it every year following the suggestions of our attendees.
Cosmetics Europe – Annual Conference 2018 – CEAC 2018
Cosmetics Europe Annual Conference 2018 (CEAC 2018) took place on June 13 and 14 in Brussels, bringing together over 300 participants to discuss this year’s theme “Essentials for Daily life” and to explore such key topics as global business trends, future of cosmetics regulation and current challenges, crisis communication and advocacy, and international cooperation. The programme included 17 sessions with 45 different speakers, which included challenging and thought-provoking discussions.
CEAC 2018 was the last stage of Cosmetics Europe annual event transformation process that started in 2016. The main aim of this change was to respond to audience needs by having a more open, integrated and holistic event that also responded to the changing external environment.
CEAC 2018 was designed and developed to be a platform for active discussions, including a large variety of topics appealing to the different audience segments and providing a perfect mix of plenary sessions, multiple parallel breakout sessions and networking opportunities to its participants.
The new format, the introduction of digital novelties such as CEAC mobile app and an online conference survey were key elements for the success of the event.
European Banking Federation (EBF) – 2018 European Banking Summit – Financing Growth
The European Banking Summit is the annual high-level flagship conference of the European Banking Federation. This year, the conference was disrupted by a bomb-scare after a series of suspect devices were found hidden in the chairs of the conference, prompting an evacuation of approximately 300 attendees and VIPs, including former Eurogroup chair Jeroen Dijsselbloem. The original venue then was closed by Belgium’s federal police, pending their investigation. The EBF demonstrated a remarkable level of resilience by successfully managing to get the conference back on track in less than 90 minutes after the evacuation at an alternative location and complete it according to the original programme.
